What occurs in a standard consultation program?
A consultation program can involve a variety of arrangements, including: general consultation with athletes, parents or staff, mental conditioning, and video feedback. Sessions can occur virtually anywhere, including performance settings, by phone or electronically.
What is mental conditioning and how does it differ from other forms of psychology?
In performance execution nothing is more critical than the mind’s ability to coordinate physical skills and maximize personal output. Akin to physical training of the body, mental conditioning helps elevate performance by strengthening vital dynamics of the mind, such as, confidence, focus, and mental toughness. Clients learn evidence-based strategies and techniques, such as visualization and trigger cues, to enhance performance and excel under pressure. Mental conditioning is reliable in all performance endeavors, and does not delve into clinical areas.
How much of my performance is truly mental?
It is difficult to quantify the role of your mental game in performance. However, your mindset can be the determining factor for how well you perform, particularly during critical moments. High-achieving individuals commonly attribute success to their mental game, and it comes as no surprise to learn that elite performers practice mental skills training on a daily basis.
